RAS OLT Privacy Policy!

At R-A Specialists we recognize that privacy is important. This document outlines the types of personal information we receive and collect when you use our services, as well as some of the steps we take to safeguard information. We hope this will help you make an informed decision about sharing personal information with us.

Personal Information and other data we collect

• RAS collects personal information when you register for Hazmat Training. This information is used to verify your online identity as well as to complete your training certificate.
• The RAS online training course uses cookies, JavaScript, and other technologies to enhance your training experience.
• For your protection and ours the RAS training server automatically records information when you enter the training program, including the URL, IP address, browser type, and the date and time of your activity.

Uses

• We do not share your information with anyone other than RAS employees involved in assisting with your online training.
• Your information is only used to verify your online identity and for filling out the training certificate as per the Department of Transportation requirements.
• Your training certificate remains on record with us until it expires.
• Your email address is retained in our secure automated system to inform you when your training record expires, so you can arrange for retraining.
• A copy of your training certificate may be sent to the Department of Transportation should they request it from us.

Choices

• We make good faith efforts to provide you access to your personal information, upon request, and to let you correct such data if it is inaccurate when reasonably possible.
• Declining to provide personal information to us and/or refuse cookies, or turn off javascript in your browser will cause the training program to not function properly. These technologies are part of the training software and are needed to properly process your online training experience.
• If you should choose to not complete the training program, upon request, all personal information can be deleted from our server and database. After your training certificate is issued, this option is no longer possible, as we are obliged by the Department of Transportation to retain such information should they request proof of your training.
